Senior officials of the Sudanese Federal Ministry of Health and other healthcare leaders from Khartoum, Sudan, participated in a CPHQ training workshop held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 15–18, 2010.
Senior officials of the Federal Ministry of Health of Sudan and other administrators of healthcare organizations based in Khartoum, Sudan, participated in a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) training workshop held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from October 15–18, 2010.
Delivered by Dr Andy Teh, Principal of Teh & Associates, the training was customized to meet the needs of the participants, who included some of the highest-ranking officials in the Federal Ministry of Health of Sudan.
Most participants were medical doctors with training and deep experience in clinical medicine, public health, and healthcare administration.
A strong desire to advance the quality of healthcare in their respective organizations and country was clearly evident throughout the workshop.
In our four days, these leaders eloquently articulated their views on healthcare quality, especially the role of leadership and management in improving quality in healthcare. They also discussed how they achieved dramatic and sustainable results by aligning community, organizational and personal goals, elucidated their focus on prevention and early detection, and shared some innovative programs that were recently implemented in Sudan.
By pursuing the CPHQ credential, these healthcare leaders demonstrate their commitment to excellence in healthcare quality, not just with words but also with action.
True leadership. Truly visionary.
